Description
Pre-filter for the Husqvarna DE 130 H industrial vacuum cleaner
A genuine pre-filter for the Husqvarna DE 130 H vacuum cleaner in dust class H. The manufacturer Husqvarna Construction lists it as an air filter assembly in the nano treated version (with a nano coating), intended for dust extractors and air cleaners from this range. The pre-filter sits in front of the HEPA filters, so it takes the first contact with the dust that is drawn in.
What a pre-filter is for
In a class H vacuum cleaner the pre-filter stops the coarser dust before it reaches the HEPA filters (a HEPA filter is a high-efficiency filter for fine dust). The HEPA filters then clog more slowly and the vacuum keeps full suction for longer. A worn pre-filter should not be put off: a clogged filter lowers the air flow and loads the motor.
Which machine it fits
The filter is intended for the Husqvarna DE 130 H, a single-phase class H industrial vacuum cleaner with two HEPA filters. If you have another machine from the DE range, check the filter part number in the manual, because each model has its own pre-filter. For the DE 120 we have a separate pre-filter.
Together with the HEPA filter
The pre-filter and the HEPA filters are replaced independently, but both work in one filtration path. When you replace the pre-filter, check the condition of the HEPA filters. The matching HEPA filter for the DE 110, 120 and 130 is in our range.
Working in hazardous dust
Dust class H means a vacuum cleaner for dusts harmful to health, for example dust from cutting and grinding concrete. Such a vacuum protects the user only when the filters are in good condition and sealed, so always replace the pre-filter with a genuine one. Other parts for this range are in the industrial vacuum cleaners category.

Questions and answers
Which vacuum cleaner does this Husqvarna pre-filter fit?
The filter fits the Husqvarna DE 130 H industrial vacuum cleaner, a single-phase dust class H machine with two HEPA filters. The manufacturer calls it an air filter assembly in the nano treated version and assigns it to dust extractors and air cleaners. If you have another model from the DE range, check the filter number in the manual, because the DE 120 has its own pre-filter.
What is the pre-filter for in a class H vacuum cleaner?
The pre-filter stops the coarser dust before it reaches the 2 HEPA filters in the DE 130 H. The HEPA filters, which are high-efficiency filters for fine dust, then clog more slowly and suction stays full for longer. In dust class H the filtration path is meant to protect the user from harmful dust, so the pre-filter must be in good condition and sealed.
When should the pre-filter in the DE 130 H be replaced?
Replace the pre-filter when you notice a drop in suction, the filter cleaning starts more often, or the filter is mechanically damaged or permanently clogged. The pre-filter takes the first contact with the dust, so check it regularly, ideally at every cleaning of the vacuum. A clogged filter lowers the air flow and loads the vacuum motor.
Do the HEPA filters have to be replaced together with the pre-filter?
The pre-filter and the 2 HEPA filters in the DE 130 H are replaced independently, according to the condition of each. The pre-filter takes the coarser dust, so its condition changes faster than that of the HEPA filters. At every replacement, check the HEPA filters and their seals, because damaged HEPA filters take away the class H protection. We offer the HEPA filter that fits the DE 110, 120 and 130.
Can the DE 130 H be used without the pre-filter?
Working without the pre-filter is not recommended, because all the dust would then go straight to the 2 HEPA filters and clog them in a short time. In dust class H, clogged or damaged HEPA filters mean a loss of user protection. That is why work in class H should always start with a working pre-filter and a spare set of filters at hand.
How does the DE 130 H pre-filter differ from the DE 120 filter?
The DE 130 H filter and the DE 120 filter have different part numbers and are assigned by the manufacturer to different models. Both are pre-filters, but do not swap them between machines. For the DE 130 H choose this filter, and for the DE 120 the separate filter from our range. Always confirm the fit in the vacuum cleaner manual.
