Complete 230 V Mechanical Vibrators

A complete set holds a 230 V drive of typically 1.1–2.3 kW, a flexible shaft in a hose of most often 3–6 m, and a poker head of roughly 25–65 mm diameter with its eccentric weight. The machine is ready once the plug goes into a single-phase socket, with no frequency converter involved. The only extras worth buying are a second head diameter for a different structure and, beyond 25–30 m from the supply point, an extension lead of at least 2.5 mm² cross-section.

A factory kit wins on a first purchase and wherever several operators share one machine: all three parts come from a single manufacturer, so thread, clutch and motor load are matched and spares fit without modification. Assembling from separate items rewards a company that already owns a working drive — one 1.5–2.3 kW motor will run several head sizes from 25 to 65 mm, swapped on site in minutes.

A single immersion normally lasts 5–15 seconds, depending on the consistency of the mix and the tool diameter. Compaction is done once air bubbles stop rising and a thin film of cement paste closes the surface. Insertion points are spaced so that the vibrated zones overlap, and the tool is withdrawn slowly, at 5–10 cm per second. Working one spot beyond 20–30 seconds segregates the mix: aggregate settles and surplus laitance gathers on top.

Single-phase supply handles most general-construction work, raft foundations included, provided the set carries a 50–65 mm head and a 5–6 m shaft. The constraint is access to power: on pours running to tens of cubic metres a day, a second set or a petrol-driven unit keeps the crew moving. A long extension lead of too small a cross-section causes a voltage drop that cuts power at the head and overheats the motor windings.
