Description
Whiteman MD82 ride-on power trowel — finishing large concrete slabs
The Whiteman MD82 ride-on power trowel (the operator works from a seat) is a twin-rotor machine for troweling and finishing fresh concrete over large areas. It is powered by a 57 HP Kubota Dual Fuel engine running on gasoline or LPG, and a hydraulic drive delivers smooth, precise control of both rotors. Two six-blade rotors cover a 2413 mm finishing path, giving high productivity on industrial floors, warehouses and halls.
57 HP dual-fuel engine
The water-cooled Kubota engine runs on gasoline or LPG (dual fuel), lowering running costs and allowing work in poorly ventilated halls when fuelled by gas. A 34 l tank ensures long runtime between refuels.
Twin six-blade rotors
Each of the two rotors is 1219 mm (48 inches) in diameter with 6 blades, 12 in total. Rotor speed adjustable from 0 to 180 rpm lets you match the speed to the stage of work — low for panning, high for final finishing.
Hydraulic drive
Hydraulic control of both rotors provides precise steering and even pressure across the full 2413 mm width, producing a flat, uniform surface even on large continuous pours. Operating weight is 810 kg.
For large areas
The wide troweling path makes the MD82 a machine for floors from several hundred to several thousand square metres. For small, confined areas a lighter walk-behind trowel is a better fit.
Ride-on or walk-behind?
A ride-on trowel covers twice the width of a walk-behind machine and relieves the operator, who works from a seat — the choice for large open pours. Among ride-on power trowels the MD82 sits in the 8-foot twin-rotor segment.
Finishing at every stage
Adjustable blade pitch and speed allow both early floating on fresh concrete and final finishing. The MD82 is a finishing machine for achieving a smooth, closed concrete surface.

Questions and answers
What surfaces is the Whiteman MD82 ride-on trowel for?
The Whiteman MD82 ride-on power trowel is designed for finishing large concrete slabs — production halls, warehouses and industrial floors from several hundred to several thousand square metres. Two six-blade rotors cover a 2413 mm path, so one machine replaces the work of two walk-behind trowels. For small, confined areas a lighter single-disc trowel is a better choice.
What engine does the MD82 have and what does dual-fuel offer?
The MD82 is powered by a 57 HP water-cooled Kubota Dual Fuel engine running on gasoline or LPG. The dual-fuel system lowers running costs and allows work in poorly ventilated halls on gas. The fuel tank holds 34 l, ensuring long runtime between refuels.
What is the troweling width and rotor diameter of the MD82?
The machine has two rotors 1219 mm (48 inches) in diameter each, covering a combined 2413 mm path. Each rotor carries 6 blades, 12 in total. Rotor speed is adjustable from 0 to 180 rpm, letting you match speed to the stage — low for panning, high for final finishing.
How does a ride-on trowel differ from a walk-behind one?
A ride-on trowel covers twice the width of a walk-behind machine and relieves the operator, who works from a seat, so it is more productive on large open pours. A walk-behind single-disc trowel remains better at edges, in corners and on small areas. The MD82 belongs to the 8-foot twin-rotor segment.
How much does the MD82 weigh and how is it transported?
The operating weight of the MD82 is 810 kg. Given its dimensions (1219 x 2413 x 1447 mm) and weight, the machine is transported on a trailer or in a van and moved onto site over a ramp. The hydraulic drive allows precise manoeuvring during loading.
What blades does the MD82 use?
The MD82 works with finishing blades for smoothing and float blades or float pans for early floating on fresh concrete. Adjustable blade pitch allows processing from the floating stage through to final finishing. The blade set is chosen to match the work stage and concrete hardness.
