Description
Schwamborn G-HC diamond grinding segment for the DSM 250 floor grinder – for hard concrete
The Schwamborn G-HC diamond segment (code 713144) is an abrasive tool with diamond set in a metal bond, mounted on the disc of the Schwamborn DSM 250 single-disc concrete floor grinder. This yellow segment from the ETX-1 „Giants Guards" (AA+ class) range is intended for grinding hard concrete and medium-sized areas – levelling, opening and preparing the substrate for further steps.
Application and substrate hardness
The G-HC segment is matched to: hard concrete. The range has four colour-coded types for different concrete hardness: G-SSC (soft concrete, screed, asphalt), G-GC (medium-hard), G-HC (hard) and G-VSF (very hard concrete, coatings, resins). Choosing the right type drives working speed and diamond life.
Grit
Version 713144 has grit 20 – coarse, for fast stock removal and opening the concrete. The lower the number, the coarser the grain; higher grits are used for finishing. Segments of the same hardness are combined in successive grits, moving from coarse to finish.
Compatibility and mounting
ETX-1 tool mount. The segment fits the Schwamborn DSM 250 floor grinder (230 V, 2.2 kW, 250 mm disc). 3 or 6 pcs are mounted on the disc, matched to the task and machine load.
Metal bond
The diamond is set in a metal bond that wears at a rate matched to the concrete hardness, so the diamond keeps exposing fresh cutting edges. Matching the type to the actual substrate hardness protects the segment from wearing too fast or too slowly.

Questions and answers
What concrete hardness is the Schwamborn G-HC diamond segment for?
The G-HC segment is intended for hard concrete. The ETX-1 range has four colour-coded types: G-SSC (soft concrete, screed and asphalt), G-GC (medium-hard), G-HC (hard) and G-VSF (very hard concrete, coatings and resins). Matching the type to the actual substrate hardness drives grinding speed and diamond life.
How many segments are mounted on the Schwamborn DSM 250 grinder?
3 or 6 segments are mounted on the disc of the Schwamborn DSM 250 grinder, depending on the task and machine load. The DSM 250 runs on 230 V and 2.2 kW with a 250 mm disc. Segments are held in the ETX-1 mounting system.
What does the segment grit mean and which to choose?
Grit is the diamond grain size — the lower the number, the coarser the grain and the faster the stock removal. Version 713144 has grit 20, i.e. coarse, for opening and levelling concrete. For finishing, higher grits of the same type are used in sequence, moving from removal to finish.
How does the G-HC segment differ from the others in the range?
The segments differ in bond hardness matched to the concrete and in colour coding. G-HC is a segment for hard concrete. For a different substrate choose the right type, e.g. Schwamborn G-VSF (a segment for very hard concrete and coatings). All share the ETX-1 mount and fit the DSM 250.
