Barikell transport trolley for MK8-75, MK8-90 and MK8-120 ride-on power trowels

The universal Barikell transport trolley (manufacturer code in the Index field) is for moving twin-rotor power trowels around the site and hall without a forklift: it fits the MK8-75, OL-90, MK8-90, MK8-90 HCS, OL-120, MK8-120 and MK8-120 HCS. Trolley weight 28 kg. A machine weighing roughly 200 to 400 kg rides on the trolley wheels instead of on its blades, which protects the fresh floor and the blades and shortens the move between troweling bays.

Which machines it fits

The manufacturer's data sheet lists all Barikell twin-rotor trowels from the MK8-75 through the MK8-90 to the MK8-120, in mechanical and hydraulic (HCS) versions. One trolley therefore serves a contractor's whole MK8 fleet. For older machines or other brands confirm compatibility by quoting the model — on request we check the support-point spacing.

Why a trolley for a self-propelled machine

A ride-on trowel drives itself on its blades only on setting concrete; on a hardened floor, paving or a ramp it cannot move without damaging the blades and pans. The trolley lets one person roll the machine to the next bay, to the wash-down area or onto a trailer, without a crane and without waiting for a forklift.

Use

Position the trolley under the machine raised on its lifting hook or supported, lower it onto the trolley's support points and roll it over level ground. Before moving check that the machine sits symmetrically and that the wheels are free of cement slurry. On ramps and slopes guide the machine with two people.

Care

After work wash cement slurry off the trolley before it sets on the wheels and support points; grease the wheel axles periodically. Replace a damaged wheel immediately — a trolley under several hundred kilograms must not limp.

For machines more than a decade old we confirm mounting compatibility from the serial number on the rating plate. The seat weighs 6.4 kg.

When should the operator seat be replaced?

Replace the seat immediately if the shell cracks or the mounting tears — the operator of a machine weighing several hundred kilograms must sit securely to steer the heads precisely. Worn foam and upholstery are replaced preventively, before water and cement slurry get inside. When replacing, also check the throttle pedal, levers and guards of the operator station.

How do I look after the trolley and seat?

After work wash cement slurry off both accessories before it sets: on the trolley's wheels and support points, on the seat's upholstery and bracket. Grease the trolley wheel axles periodically and replace a damaged wheel immediately. Storing the machine with its accessories under a roof or cover extends their life.
