Description
400 mm diamond blade for concrete, brick and paving stones
The Husqvarna Elite-Cut GS50S is a 400 mm diamond blade with a 25.4 mm arbor, designed for wet-cutting tile and masonry saws. It cuts blocks, brick, soft and medium-hard cured concrete, paving stones and roof tiles. The segment is 12 mm high and the core has a three-layer construction (a sandwich of two steel layers around a damping layer). Elite-Cut is the gold quality class in the Husqvarna range, intended for professional use.
Three-layer core for quieter cutting
The damping layer between the steel plates limits blade vibration during the cut. According to the manufacturer, the perceived noise level is up to 50% lower than with a solid steel core. This matters during long cutting runs, for example when trimming paving stones or blocks on site, where noise tires the operator more than the work itself.
Which materials
The GS50S is a general-purpose blade for medium-hard building materials: blocks and brick, soft and medium-hard cured concrete, paving stones and slabs, and roof tiles. The manufacturer describes it as a fast-cutting blade, not one for very hard, brittle materials. For porcelain stoneware and sintered stone use a continuous-rim blade such as the Elite-Cut TS1.
Which saw it fits
The 25.4 mm arbor is the standard on tile and masonry saws from Husqvarna Construction. The 400 mm blade is matched to the Husqvarna TS 400 F table saw, which accepts blades up to 400 mm. The TS 350 E accepts blades up to 350 mm, so for that saw choose a smaller GS50S diameter. Before buying, check the maximum blade diameter allowed by your machine guard.
Wet cutting
The GS50S is designed for cutting with water cooling. Water removes heat from the cutting zone, flushes slurry from under the segment and binds dust, which extends segment life and makes the work more comfortable. TS series table saws have a built-in water tank, so you only need to keep an eye on the level throughout the cut.
Choosing the blade diameter
The GS50S range comes in 300, 350 and 400 mm diameters. The diameter sets the maximum depth of cut and must fit under the machine guard: an oversized blade will not fit, and an undersized one limits the cutting depth. Match it to the saw model, not to the thickness of the material. Other blades for this use are in the concrete diamond blades category.
12 mm segment
A 12 mm segment height is the reserve of diamond layer that wears away during work. The taller the segment, the longer the blade keeps its working diameter, which translates into more cuts before replacement. In brick and blocks the segment wears evenly if the blade is guided straight and not overloaded by side pressure.

Questions and answers
Which materials is the Husqvarna Elite-Cut GS50S 400 mm blade for?
The GS50S is for wet cutting of medium-hard building materials: blocks, brick, soft and medium-hard cured concrete, paving stones and roof tiles. It has a 400 mm diameter, a 25.4 mm arbor and a 12 mm high segment. For porcelain stoneware and sintered stone a continuous-rim blade is the better choice, because segmented blades tear particles out of the edge of brittle tiles.
Which saw does a 400 mm diamond blade with a 25.4 mm arbor fit?
The 400 mm blade with a 25.4 mm arbor is intended for the Husqvarna TS 400 F table saw, which accepts blades up to 400 mm. The TS 350 E accepts blades up to 350 mm, so it needs a smaller GS50S diameter. Always check the maximum blade diameter allowed by your own machine guard, because a blade larger than permitted will not fit under it.
Can the GS50S blade be used dry?
The GS50S is designed for wet cutting with water cooling. Water removes heat from the cutting zone, flushes slurry and binds dust, so the 12 mm segment wears more slowly. TS series table saws have a built-in water tank, so wet cutting is their standard mode. For dry cutting the manufacturer offers other blade series, matched to petrol cut-off saws.
How do the 300, 350 and 400 mm diameters in the GS50S range differ?
The GS50S range comes in 300, 350 and 400 mm diameters, all with a 25.4 mm arbor. The diameter sets the maximum depth of cut, and its upper limit is set by the saw guard: the TS 350 E accepts blades up to 350 mm and the TS 400 F up to 400 mm. Choose the largest diameter your machine allows, because it gives more cutting depth and more segment to wear away.
What does the three-layer core of the Elite-Cut GS50S do?
The three-layer core is two layers of steel around a damping layer. According to the manufacturer, the perceived noise level is up to 50% lower than with a solid steel core. Quieter work matters over long cutting runs on site, for example when trimming paving stones or blocks, where the operator spends several hours a day next to the blade.
How does the GS50S differ from the Elite-Cut TS1 tile blade?
The GS50S has a 12 mm segment and is used for concrete, brick, blocks and paving stones. The Elite-Cut TS1 has a continuous rim with a 10 mm segment and is used for porcelain stoneware, ceramics and sintered stone such as Dekton or Neolith. A continuous rim cuts more slowly but leaves a smooth edge without chipping, while segmented blades cut faster but tear particles out of brittle material.
