A clean water motor pump is a petrol-driven centrifugal pump designed to deliver water without solid contaminants or with very fine particles up to 5 mm diameter. Standard impeller optimized for maximum hydraulic flow — the pump has 30-50% higher flow than semi-slurry motor pump with the same engine power. Main uses: irrigation of fields and gardens, pumping water from deep or dug wells (up to 8 m suction depth), draining garden pools after season, transferring water between barrels and storage tanks, flood relief works and firefighting (high-pressure version SERH50Z).

Choice: if you pump large amounts of water to low heights (up to 20 m) → standard. If you need high pressure (firefighting, 50+ m irrigation) → high-pressure. High-pressure pump has 2x less flow but 3x higher pressure.

For a larger plot (1-3 ha field) or greenhouse — FOGO F80WP (3", 1000 l/min) — pumps 60 m³ per hour, i.e. 60,000 liters. When irrigating from a well up to 8 m deep — remember about an additional strainer basket with check valve at the hose end (286-660 PLN net, depending on diameter).

Is a motor pump suitable for pumping water from a pool?

Yes — a clean water motor pump perfectly empties a garden pool after season. Pool 30 m³ (10 × 5 × 0.6 m) → SEH25L (115 l/min) empties in ~4.5 hours, F80WP (1000 l/min) in 30 minutes. Remember about suction filter so that leaves and small debris don't enter the impeller. After emptying a pool with chemicals (chlorine, glycol) — rinse the pump with clean water for 5-10 minutes so the seals don't corrode. Don't use a clean water motor pump for water with cloudy sediment on the bottom — choose a semi-slurry pump.

Clean water motor pumps weigh from 5.5 kg (Koshin SEH25L — lightest, hand-carry) to 35 kg (SERH50Z high-pressure) and 25.5 kg (FOGO F80WP 3"). SEH25L (5.5 kg) can be transported in a bicycle pannier, on a frame or in a backpack. F80WP (25 kg) — needs two people or a trolley. SERH50Z (35 kg) has side handles — a man can lift alone, two women together. Larger industrial models (3"-4") weigh 30-78 kg — need transport set with wheels (~530 PLN net, in pump accessories).

Will a clean water motor pump handle pumping from a well?

Yes, but only from a dug well up to 8 m depth (or artesian up to 5-7 m practically). The pump is centrifugal, self-priming — draws water through suction hose with strainer at well bottom. Practical depth limit is atmospheric pressure (10.33 m), minus hydraulic losses in hose (1 m per every 10 m of hose) and water temperature (cold water sucks better). For deep wells >10 m an electric submersible pump is required, not a motor pump. For first start-up fill the suction hose with water (priming the pump) — otherwise the pump won't suck air.

Storz coupling is a standard quick-connect hose system used in fire services, construction and agriculture. Koshin SEH25L (smallest and lightest clean water motor pump in our offer) has a Honda GX25 engine — 4-stroke, 25 cm³, Japanese, with separate gasoline/oil valves (typical for small Honda). Fuel tank 0.55 l, oil pan 0.1 l. Runtime per fill: ~45 minutes. GX25 service kit (air filter, spark plug, engine oil) — replacement every 100 engine hours. Engine known for failure-free operation — average lifespan in home use (2-3 hours weekly in season) is over 15 years.
