Questions and answers

What engine does the Toolsa HLS50 have?

The Toolsa HLS50 is powered by a genuine Honda GX160 engine (4-stroke, petrol) — the same one Honda uses in the WT20 and Koshin in the KTH-50X. Reliable starting, low fuel consumption and genuine spare-part availability.

Is the Toolsa HLS50 an equivalent of the Honda WT20?

The Toolsa HLS50 is a size equivalent of the Honda WT20 — the same Honda GX160 engine and 2" (50 mm) port. The WT20 reaches a slightly higher flow (approx. 710 vs 656 l/min) and larger solids (approx. 20 vs 15 mm), while the HLS50 offers a more attractive price. For larger solids choose the Toolsa HLS80 (3").

What solids can the HLS50 handle?

The Toolsa HLS50 handles solids up to 15 mm — silt, sand and fine suspension. Enough for flooded basements, sumps and small excavations. For debris and stones up to 27 mm you need the HLS80 or HLS100 (3"/4").

How does the HLS50 differ from the Koshin KTH-50X?

Same 2" class with a Honda GX160 engine. The Koshin KTH-50X is a premium brand with higher flow (700 vs 656 l/min), larger solids (20 vs 15 mm) and higher head (30 vs 27.1 m). The Toolsa HLS50 is the cheaper alternative with the same genuine Honda engine.
