Economical running on one fill-up

The 50 l tank with a fuel level gauge lets the heater run through a full shift without topping up.

Steel chimney stub on the red heater body

Flue gas outlet

The chimney stub takes a ⌀110 mm flue pipe that carries combustion gases out of the heated room.

Round hot air outlet at the front of the heater

Powerful heat output

The fan drives air around the combustion chamber and blows it out at the front, straight into the work area.

Wheels under the heater fuel tank

Easy repositioning

Wheels and a rear handle let you roll the cooled-down heater to a new spot on site.

Motor and fan

A high-power motor drives the fan, and the guard protects its blades from contact.

Safety features as standard

photocell monitors the flameoverheat protectionfuse-protected electrics

If the flame goes out, the photocell cuts the power and shuts the heater down, and the thermal cut-out stops it if it overheats.

Predictable servicing

fuel filter: twice a seasonnozzle and photocell: once a seasonspark plug: every 600 htank flush: every 200 h

The maintenance schedule from the manual lets you plan servicing before the heating season and avoid downtime in frosty weather.

Details

Fuel pressure gauge

An analogue operating pressure gauge lets you monitor the fuel pump and diagnose possible faults.

Fuel filler

A wide filler with a cap and gauge makes it easy to check the fuel level and refill the tank quickly.

Fuel tank

A large 50-litre tank provides over ten hours of operation without refuelling.

Transport wheels

Heavy-duty wheels and a transport handle make it easy to move the unit, even over uneven ground.

Flue

The exhaust outlet allows combustion gases to be vented safely.

Hot air outlet

A metal air outlet directs hot air into the space while keeping combustion fumes out.

Questions and answers

How much fuel does the Toolsa TA-DV50 oil-fired heater use?

The Toolsa TA-DV50 oil-fired heater consumes 4.6 l of fuel per hour at a heat output of 50 kW. It is the most powerful model in the Toolsa range of flued heaters: the Toolsa TA-DV30 heater rated at 30 kW uses 2.9 l/h, and the 20 kW TA-DV20 uses 1.9 l/h. The higher consumption translates into a recommended volume of up to 800 m³, more than one and a half times the 480 m³ of the TA-DV30.

How many hours does the TA-DV50 fuel tank last?

The fuel tank of the Toolsa TA-DV50 holds 50 l, which at a consumption of 4.6 l/h gives around 10 hours of continuous operation on a single fill. This is calculated from the tank capacity and the rated fuel consumption, so the actual time depends on operating conditions. The fuel level is easy to monitor thanks to the level indicator on the tank, and dual oil filters protect the fuel system from contamination.

Can the TA-DV50 heater be used in an enclosed room?

The Toolsa TA-DV50 is an indirect (flued) oil-fired heater in which combustion gases are separated from the heated air by a heat exchanger and led outside through a flue. Only clean air enters the room, which is why this type of heater is designed for heating enclosed spaces with a volume of up to 800 m³ at 50 kW. The condition is a correctly connected flue gas outlet. Safety is enhanced by an overheat thermostat, photocell flame monitoring and a post-shutdown cooling fan run.

What is the difference between a flued heater and a heater without a flue?

A flued (indirect) heater such as the TA-DV50 heats the air through a heat exchanger and directs the combustion gases out of the room through a flue. A heater without a flue (direct-fired), e.g. the Toolsa TA-D175 diesel heater rated at 51 kW, releases all its heat together with the combustion gases into the surroundings, so it is only suitable for open or well-ventilated spaces. At a similar output, the TA-DV50 heats up to 800 m³ with clean air, while the TA-D175 covers up to 1020 m³, but only where ventilation is not an issue.

Which duct fits the TA-DV50 heater?

The Toolsa TA-DV50 heater takes the Toolsa ⌀300 mm flexible duct, 10 m long, dedicated to this model. The duct fits onto the hot air outlet flange and lets you direct the stream of heat to work zones in a hall, warehouse or on a construction site. It is a duct for distributing warm air, not for exhausting combustion gases. The smaller TA-DV20 and TA-DV30 models work with a 250 mm diameter duct.
